20 Minutes Till Dawn: What Are Synergies
Synergies are bonuses that are earned by selecting specific combinations of upgrades. In almost all cases, two upgrades are required to create a synergy, and the synergy itself can appear as a possible upgrade choice upon leveling up once the requirements have been fulfilled. While it is true that a 20 Minutes Till Dawn character with a synergy can be quite powerful, there are often downsides to these effects that make them suboptimal in certain builds.

To note, it is actually possible to see details on synergies during a run of 20 Minutes Till Dawn, including information on their effects and the upgrade combinations that create them. This is done simply by pressing Esc, which is also how roguelite fans can view the upgrades that they have already selected, and then clicking on “Synergies.” However, this cannot be accessed while choosing an upgrade, and that can make things somewhat difficult.
20 Minutes Till Dawn is in Early Access on PC.
