Microsoft kicked off the Xbox free Games with Gold games for June 2022 with Aven Colony and Super Meat Boy. Aven Colony is still available for Xbox Live Gold subscribers to claim for their collections if they so desire. It’s basically a twist on the SimCity formula, but set in space. Aven Colony will be free for Xbox Live Gold subscribers to claim until June 30, though Super Meat Boy has already been removed from the lineup, unfortunately.

The two new Xbox free Games with Gold games that subscribers can now claim are Project Highrise: Architect’s Edition on Xbox One and Raskulls on Xbox 360. Project Highrise will be available to claim until July 15, while Raskulls will be part of the free Games with Gold lineup until June 30. Anyone interested in either game can jump on their Xbox consoles and claim them both now.

Xbox Free Games With Gold for June 2022

Aven Colony (June 1 - June 30) Project Highrise: Architect’s Edition (June 16 - July 15) Super Meat Boy (June 1 - June 15) Raskulls (June 16 - June 30)

For those who may not be familiar with the games, Project Highrise is a game all about building skyscrapers, whereas Raskulls is an action-platformer that originally released as an Xbox Live Arcade game. Raskulls has co-op and multiplayer support and earned mostly positive reviews at the time of its release, so while it’s quite old at this point, those that have yet to play it should consider checking it out.

Come July, Xbox Live Gold subscribers can look forward to a new batch of games replacing the current lineup, though they likely won’t know about them until the end of this month. There are rumors that Microsoft plans on discontinuing Xbox Live Gold to focus completely on Xbox Game Pass instead, but that has yet to come to fruition. For now, Xbox Live Gold subscribers can continue reaping the benefits for their subscription by taking advantage of discounts and claiming the monthly free game offerings.
